Rhetoric and Communication Studies Research Forums
Rhetoric and Communication Studies faculty are immersed in research and dedicated to lively intellectual exchange among students, faculty, and interested members of the public. Each year, the department invites accomplished scholars from outside the university to share their research in lectures and sometimes class instruction and visitations. The department also often co-sponsors forums with various units on campus, such as the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program.
Faculty also share their work-in-progress with other faculty and students in public presentations and provide opportunities for students to benefit from feedback on research projects for upcoming campus symposia or professional conference presentations. Recent former lectures include both notable national scholars and undergraduates beginning research endeavors.
